01 Mar 1975, Phnom Penh, Camodia --- Rice Rationed to Refugees. Phnom Penh, Cambodia: Refugees remain seated after receiving their supplies of rice and other food capital, as they wait for their ration cards to be marked March 1st. Deaths from starvation were reported on the rise March 3rd among besieged Phnom Penh's hungry civilians, but the Cambodian Government was giving all of the United States' airlifted food to the military, except for token amounts to the city's refugees, as the military situation steadily worsened. --- Image by Bettmann/CORBIS
